A successful day at the Harrogste and Craven athletics

An outstanding achievement from liffy in the javelin coming 2nd over all, Oliver F recording 36m in javelin and Josh Mckittrick wining his 200m race. Well done, watch this space as we will soon find out who qualifies for the next round.

Nidderdale 7/8’s Cricket v Outwood Ripon

On Tuesday the year 8 cricket team mixed with some year 7’s, some of who were playing in their first ever match, took on a mixed Outwood Ripon team.

The game was mainly there for the development of the younger players with the older more experienced players taking a more leadership role! The game was played in really sunny conditions and was very close.

Josh Mckittrick made 21 runs with the bat, with Henri Gaston and Will Bradley providing really good resistance when it looked like Nidderdale could be all out.

Nidderdale got 6 wickets in the second innings with really impressive bowling performances from Jack Mallinson, Jack Kirk and Connor Duffus who all picked up wickets.

Really good performance and massive amounts of progress made!

Nidderdale students success at Area Athletics Championships

2 Nidderdale students have qualified to be part of the Harrogate and Craven athletics team and will now compete at the North Yorkshire trials on Saturday 13th June. Joe Fearnley (shot put) and Oliver Fryer (javelin) both in year 9 threw their way to the county trials with some personal best distances!

Well done lads and good luck for North Yorkshire!
