Year 8 football win thriller at King James’

The year 8 football team travelled to King James school in Knaresborough and won a thrilling 6-5 match (although it should never have got that close, especially after Nidderdale were 4-0 up).

A great effort from the lads as they managed to hold on. Goals were scored by Isaac Light (3), Bray Bush (2) and Archie Greensit. Man of the match was voted for by the rest of the team and narrowly went to Isaac for his hat trick.

First league game of the season, a good start, and if we can improve the defence a little, looks a good year ahead!!!

Year 7 and 8 competed in badminton and hockey, year 9 in rugby (see pics) and netball, year 10 basketball and netball and finally year 11 football. Just before Christmas will see the next round of sports and will be the sports that are currently being taught in PE lessons. A very close start which kicks off an exciting year in house sport!
