Adversity awards

An inspirational evening last night at the Adversity awards, celebrating the achievements of two of our students, Amy & Joanne. The award is to recognise young people who use the power of sport to overcome challenges in their life. It was a great reminder of how physical activity and sport can be used to change and enrich our lives. Congratulations to Joanne and Amy, very proud. #adversity #adversityawards #proud #youngpeople #powerofsport

Representing Yorkshire in 2017

2 pupils from Nidderdale High School represented full Yorkshire teams in cricket this year with Leo Wilson (under 11s) and Isaac Light (under 12s) both pictured below. This is a fantastic achievement especially considering the amount of boys that play cricket in this county. Leo was also awarded the ‘best all rounder award’ in his age group for North Yorkshire. Super efforts from both and with the attitude they have in this sport, they deserve this success

Year 8 football win thriller at King James’

The year 8 football team travelled to King James school in Knaresborough and won a thrilling 6-5 match (although it should never have got that close, especially after Nidderdale were 4-0 up).

A great effort from the lads as they managed to hold on. Goals were scored by Isaac Light (3), Bray Bush (2) and Archie Greensit. Man of the match was voted for by the rest of the team and narrowly went to Isaac for his hat trick.

First league game of the season, a good start, and if we can improve the defence a little, looks a good year ahead!!!
